KVB Projects’ Micro and Mini Mesh FRP Gratings are precision-engineered for environments that demand maximum safety, hygiene, and fine-aperture flooring. With smaller openings than standard gratings, they prevent small tools or debris from slipping through while maintaining excellent drainage and non-slip performance.
Manufactured from premium fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP), these panels deliver the ideal combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and low maintenance for industrial, commercial, and public applications. Whether you’re working on a marine platform, food-processing plant, or wastewater facility, KVB Projects’ micro mesh solutions ensure long-term durability and compliance with local and international safety standards.
Key Features of Micro & Mini Mesh FRP Gratings
- Fine mesh openings – available in various configurations.
- Non-slip surface for enhanced safety in wet or oily environments.
- Corrosion-resistant — ideal for chemical, marine, and wastewater exposure.
- Lightweight yet load-bearing, reducing installation time and structural stress.
- Fire-retardant and UV-stable, ensuring colour and integrity outdoors.
- Low maintenance — resistant to rust, rot, and impact.
- Custom fabrication options for solid-top panels, covered gratings, or pre-cut sections.
Ideal Applications
- Marine & Offshore Platforms – corrosion-resistant flooring for walkways, decks, and docks.
- Water & Wastewater Treatment – fine-mesh surfaces prevent debris from entering filtration areas.
- Food & Beverage Processing – hygienic flooring with non-slip performance and easy wash-down.
- Public Walkways & Pools – safe underfoot surface for high-heel and barefoot traffic.
- Electrical & Chemical Facilities – non-conductive, spark-free flooring for hazardous areas.

The designer should not exceed MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED load at any time. MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED load represents a 5:1 factor of safety on ULTIMATE CAPACITY.
ULTIMATE CAPACITY represents a complete and total failure of the grating.
Walking loads, typically 2.4 KN/m2, is recommended for pedestrian traffic. Deflections for workers comfort are typicall limited to 9mm or SPAN divided by 120 under full live load. For a firmer feel under full live load or a 3.6 KN/m2 load, limit deflection to 6 mm or span divided by 200.
The allowable loads are for static load conditions at ambient temperatures. Allowable loads for impact or dynamic loads should be a maximum of one-half the value shown.
Long term loads will result in added deflection due to creep in the material and will also require higher safety factors to ensure acceptable performance.
